While Curbate might sound like a clever way of describing what you watched that naked homeless man doing in the street this morning, it’s actually a lot more entertaining than all that. I’d argue the “curb” is less important than the “urbate” part of the title, since you perverts are probably going to urbate all over the place while you’re checking out this archive of pretty girls without their clothes on. Hell, you should see the absolute mess I just made of my laptop a while ago. It’s hard to type with so many sticky keys.

I’m honestly not 100% sure how they came up with the name, but I think they just shortened Chaturbate to come up with it. That would certainly fit the theme for this growing archive of free camwhore videos. Curbate.tv has been getting more and more attention lately, with around a million visitors coming by last month to gawk at all those prerecorded webcam sluts. Naturally, I had to lube up and check out the collection for myself, for research purposes if nothing else. Who’s up for some science?

The focus on camgirls isn’t immediately apparent. When I saw the thumbnails plastered all over the front page, I initially thought it might be full of OnlyFans girls. I’m sure there’s a ton of overlap, since camgirls often have OnlyFans accounts, but that ain’t the premise Curbate.

I think what threw me was the sexual content in most of the front-page thumbnails. Load up any random cam site and what do you see? The better sites like Chaturbate and LiveJasmin will have some naked hotties touching themselves or eating dong for breakfast, but they’re featured alongside fully clothed women waiting around for paying customers. On the shittier sites, that’s sometimes all you get.

By contrast, there’s a nice variety of action going on in the Curbate vids. I see a couple busty broads just smiling at the camera, but most of the women at least have their jugs out. Before I’d even made it beyond the front page, I saw cosplay girls masturbating with dildos, lesbians going down on each other, a babe squirting, and even a full-on MFF threesome. Given the range of content, I’m a little disappointed there isn’t a browsable list of categories or porn subgenres to peruse. In fact, Curbate.tv doesn’t seem to use tags to organize the content at all. This is actually a fairly common setup on sites that archive webcam shows, but the drawbacks are apparent. Without tags, it’s going to be hard to search the library for specific content. If you type a kink, niche or fetish into the search bar, you’d better hope a few models have that keyword in their username.

While I was browsing the Models directory, I started to recognize the true size and scope of Curbate. Their catalog easily numbers in the tens of thousands of webcam videos, so you’d better get cranking if you were hoping to fap your way through the entire pile. Even to a professional masturbator who buys silicone doll snatches by the case, that’s an impressive and somewhat intimidating stash of pornography.

As I dug further and further into the stash, I did run into a couple of broken videos. Curbate doesn’t host any of the videos themselves, instead offloading the task to services like DoodStream. It's an effective way of keeping the costs down when you’re running a site like this, though it has some obvious downsides. If a file gets taken down from one of the hosts, it isn’t necessarily reflected immediately in the Curbate catalog. The dead links I found were older vids, but all the recent movies played just fine.

They list the newest shit toward the bottom of the front page. I’m typing this up on a Monday afternoon, and everything in this section has been added to the site in just the last seven hours. This includes big-ass ebony girls twerking and riding dildos, redheads going to town on simulated cocks, a couple lesbian duos and a lone gaylord aiming his boner at the camera.

A lot of those thumbnails made my ding-dong twitch a little bit, but it was the lesbians that really grabbed my eye. I clicked on a pair of blondes with the username vikkilustful, which brought me to the full, nearly two-hour video. I did have to tweak my adblocker settings a bit before I was able to watch the full video. My biggest complaint about Curbate.tv has got to be the spam. With my adblocker running, I sometimes had to click things twice to go anywhere or do anything. When I finally tried to watch a video, I only got a few seconds in before the video stopped, replaced with a message saying I had to turn off my anti-spam protection.

It's a small price to pay. Once I’d turned off AdBlock Plus, I got to watch the babes strip down to nothing and start making out. They must have had a lot of viewers watching when they were live, with plenty of those viewers tossing money in the hat to keep the show going. Honestly, this video is a fucking spectacular example of why a tube like Curbate exists; it would have been an absolute fucking shame for this performance to be lost to the sands of time.

It turns out vikkilustful has a nice, fat handful of videos to watch on Curbate, so I know what I’ll be doing with the rest of my evening. I also looked her up on Chaturbate and found she was performing even as I typed up this review. She’s got a new fan in me, though I’m just one of more than 200 viewers currently watching live, not to mention everybody seeing her at Curbate.

Curbate.tv may not be the most well-organized tube out there, but the whole site is a goldmine for cam fans who can’t spend twenty-four hours a day glued to their favorite live webcam sites.
