Record Jerk has kind of a funny name, because the first thing it made me think of was some hipster trying to hunt down rare vinyl on the internet. Picture it: some dude with a manbun sipping an IPA while browsing the web for an old Neutral Milk Hotel record, but instead of finding a music shop, he stumbles upon thousands of naked women shaking their boobies at the camera. As with other webcam tubes, the search function here only digs through the usernames. The tag lists beneath the videos suggest they’re putting the infrastructure in place, though. RecordJerk.cam would really set themselves apart from the other platforms if they can make those tags searchable.

On the same note, it’s not quite clear which sites Record Jerk is recording samples from. I couldn’t find a list anywhere, not even on the model request page, nor could I find sources listed on the individual video pages. You can add your favorite models just by pasting the relevant link into the form, though. If you’ve got somebody in mind and she ain’t already on the roster, what have you got to lose? It's not like they’re asking for donations.

Given the setup, it seems like the whole thing is just going to keep snowballing, growing faster and faster with every request. RecordJerk hasn’t even been online very long, and they’ve already got over 420,000 videos samples in the stash. The operating costs for a platform like this have got to be sky high, and yeah, it all comes with a catch that we’ll get to shortly.

They do make at least one concession in the name of conserving resources: videos samples max out at one hour long. I’m not against the time limit in principle, but it’s just the nature of webcam shows that they tend to heat up near the end. In some cases, you’ll be getting the setup but not the punchline.

Remember I mentioned how it’s got to be expensive to run a joint like this? Well, maybe why that’s why I found an absolute nightmare of spam. For real, the ads gave me a harder time here than any other site I’ve reviewed all year. I tried tweaking my adblock settings, but I still had a shitload of spam to contend with during my visit.

So, before I watched the video sample, I had to close a pop-up tab and click a bunch of X’s. Finally, the juicy mama appeared on the screen. RecordJerk.cam is a solid webcam sample archive, but if I had my way, I’d make a couple changes. The spam is bad enough that I’m sure it’s losing them visitors, making it an obvious place to start. There’s also the matter of all those tags I saw beneath the videos. If Record Jerk could implement a workable, searchable tagging system, they’d stand hand and shoulders against the other cam libraries out there. These things are a bitch to search for specific types of content, and masturbators can be a particular bunch.

At the end of the day, RecordJerk.cam gets a general recommendation to webcam fans who aren’t online 24-7, but still want to see everything their favorite camwhore is getting up to. Type a couple of your favorite names into the search bar and see what comes up, and you can always request a model if she ain’t being recorded just yet. You’ll have to close some ads along the way, but once you get a video playing, it’s all smooth one-handed sailing.
