ALS Scan lays the hype on thick out on their tour page, calling themselves “The Ultimate in Modern Entertainment” and bragging about their roster of real girls next door. Given the source, I can’t say I’m that surprised. ALSScan.com is a premium amateur nudie website from the same folks behind MetArt. If you’ve read my review or visited the joint yourself, you know MetArt is a softcore website by any modern measure of depravity but keeps a strong following by putting out a ton of high-class, artistic nudes. ALSScan has a very similar format, with a slightly different theme: they’re shooting refined amateur nude photography. With about a million visitors a month, they’re only getting a fraction of the attention their older, more glamorous sibling gets, but that’s still a respectable volume of traffic. Well, naturally, I wanted to lube up and check it out for myself.

A quarter-century on the internet is a feat for any kind of website, but I’d argue it’s even more impressive when we’re talking about porno. Think of how much competition comes out every year, month, or week. I review new porn sites every day, and I still have to pick and choose which ones are good enough for my time or yours. Shit, I’m not a professional photographer, so I’m sure there are plenty of steps I’m omitting, too. My point is they clearly haven’t been pulled at random from a video. Instead, they harken back to classic nudie rags like Playboy, showing off gorgeous naked women alone and letting our minds make up the dirtiest parts of the story.

There are some free video previews out front. And, again, you’ll notice the photo-first style comes through even in the moving pictures. Instead of shoehorning a plot or dialog into the video or cramming in as many sexual positions as possible, it’s all posing and play. As a result, the final product has a very intimate and natural feel, the exact vibe that draws many of us to amateur porn over the highly polished stuff.
