EroCast

Ero Cast is a different kind of website than what I normally review around here at ThePornDude, to say the least. Most of the free sites I fap test on the average day are video tubes, plus an assortment of paysites, sex blogs, hentai libraries and nudie photo galleries. I’ve got dozens of categories of adult websites listed here at ThePornDude, but most of them are just popular subgenres of porn presented in the various standard formats. Erocast is something else entirely, something so unique that it doesn’t fit cleanly into any of the established categories.

The question is whether that uniqueness is a good thing or bad thing. They get a million visitors a month, which says a lot, but I still think it’s going to depend on what kind of masturbator you are and what kind of mood you’re in. Erocast.me is a free archive of erotic audio, so instead of the usual visual onslaught of flesh and body fluids you get from other sites, these guys aim to excite you through your ears. Theoretically, this means the staff here at Starbucks shouldn’t kick me out for grossing out the other customers again, but I brought my headphones just in case.

It’s fitting that Erocast reminds me of a site where I’d find pornographic literature, because I feel those share a similar spirit with what you’ll find here. Once my eyes adjusted to the lack of boobies and spread-eagle vaginas, the words started coming into focus. Before I’d even left the front page, I could tell there was a wide range of erotic genres represented. It doesn’t have the same spread of perversion you’d find on a site like Literotica, but that may be a longevity thing; Literotica has been around for decades, while Erocast.me is just getting started.

They take a similar approach to presentation as most sites, putting the freshest material right out front. Right now, the New Erotic Audios at the top of the page include tracks about the art of seduction, being addicted to masturbation, taboouous mothers teaching lessons, and some wild sci-fi monster sex with a synopsis straight out of hentai. The images representing the erotic audio are largely SFW, so the illiterate will have no idea about the pervert meetup stories, the furry vore tales, or the pussy-licking lesbian ghosts.

There’s also a front-page spread of New Albums and Playlists where, again, we find all kinds of perversion. Maybe I’m just reviewing Erocast.me on a particularly filthy day, but the new playlists include hot boi summers, age play, taboo, and a whole batch of gore/snuff audios. As with erotic stories and porno comics, the limits are a lot fucking looser than with video websites.

I expected the Genres page to be either the usual menu of Lesbians, Anal and Blowjobs you find on most adult sites, or the pages-long index of outlandish perversion you find on hentai or story websites. Instead, I found a baker’s dozen of broad genres like GFE, Fdom, Msub, Improvisation, Narrative, Taboo and Extreme. Some of the categories, like Ramble Fap, seem unique to Erocast, which is all the more reason for me to keep exploring.

If I have one complaint about the general setup, I wish there was a fuller menu of tags or categories to peruse. The site does use a tagging system, with a lot of the usual tags you’d expect on a site like this (#romantic, #cheating, #pussy licking, #interracial, etc). The full index would probably be the kind of sprawling mess you find on hentai sites, but those can be a lot of fun to browse. Besides, how else are you going to figure out which weird new fetishes you have?

Erocast.me is a user-driven site, which comes with its own set of implications. For one thing, a site like this is only going to be as good as its userbase. As I mentioned earlier, these guys get a million visits a month, and don’t worry, those users are active as fucking hell. It’s something of a snowballing effect, with the site growing faster as it gets more popular, but they already get a shit-ton of user contributions on the regular. I couldn’t find a way to sort by date, but I did find a number of tracks added today; I’d bet my right nut there’s fresh material every day.

I ran into what seemed like bandwidth issues a few times during my visit. Sometimes things wouldn’t load and I’d have to click again or reload the page. I’m not sure if it’s related, but the search bar was not working at all today. This led me to the Erocast Discover page, which I’d say is probably the best way to peruse the catalog, at least with the current setup.

The Discovery page ain’t without its faults, though. For one thing, they gave you a handful of tags to choose from, but I’m not convinced the “Find a tag” function does anything when you type in an unlisted tag. I typed “Anal” and the page refreshed, seemingly unchanged. Another issue is that the search maxes out at 50 results, at which point they’re just repeated on the page.

I had more than enough to choose from, though, so I started with one near the top of my search results called What the Nanny Saw. I was a little surprised by the professional quality as the audiobook started off with some music. I’d been expecting a noticeably amateur recording, but this is polished. Overall quality across Erocast does vary, but most of what I sampled was listenable.

Despite the little bugs I ran into, Erocast.me is designed really well. I like how the built-in player stretches across the bottom of the site, and keeps playing the tracks smoothly as you continue to peruse the site. It’s similar to the picture-in-picture feature you find on the better tubes, because it lets you seek out something better even while you’re already jacking off to something.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this library of free erotic audio continues to develop as it gains steam. They’ve already reached a point where users are eagerly building the collection at a frantic pace, adding their own fap fantasies and dirty talk extravaganzas to the pile. I think the stash will only keep growing faster, and I’m hoping to see it expand in various perverse directions as more content creators jump into the game. Oh, and by the way, this is one of the only adult websites I’ve seen recently that you can really enjoy on the bus without bothering the other riders. Just make sure to hide those tent pants.
